Why starting prices instead of fixed prices?

Every home is different. A single-story rambler with straight gutter runs and easy ladder access costs less per foot than a three-story Queen Anne with steep pitches, cedar shake, and fascia rot under 30-year-old gutters. Starting prices tell you the floor so you know roughly what to expect before we show up. The itemized quote is the actual number — and the quote is the invoice.

What makes prices go up from the starting point?

Fascia repair if the wood is rotted behind the old gutters. Access difficulty (steep lots, no driveway access, second-story over a deck). Complex rooflines with many inside corners. Longer downspout runs or underground drain connections. Historic or custom profiles. Tear-off and disposal of heavy old systems. We photograph and flag every one of these before work starts — no surprise invoices.

Do you give quotes over the phone or by photo?

Accepted Answer

For repairs, yes — most of the time. Send photos of the overflow, the affected section, and the fascia if you can see it. We can usually tell you repair or replace same-day and give you a ballpark. For full replacements, we need a site visit to measure linear footage, inspect fascia, and size the downspouts for your roof area.

How does your pricing compare to LeafFilter, Ned Stevens, and the big national brands?

Accepted Answer

Our starting prices are roughly half of what homeowners in Seattle report paying LeafFilter and comparable national franchises — Yelp reviews document $4,500 for a 920 sq ft home, $11,000 for a standard three-bedroom, and one Kirkland homeowner saw a bid start at $17,700 and drop to under $7,000 the same day after pushback. That model isn't how we work. One honest quote. No theatre.

Is Washington sales tax included in your pricing?

Accepted Answer

No — 10.35% combined state and local sales tax applies to both materials and labor in the Seattle area and is added to the quote. We show it as a line item so you can see what the tax adds. On a $2,000 job that's about $207.

Do you offer financing?

Accepted Answer

For full replacement jobs above $3,000 we can point you to third-party home-improvement financing. We don't mark up or profit from the financing — we just tell you who to call. For repairs we accept cash, check, and cards.

What does a typical Seattle gutter replacement actually cost?

Accepted Answer

For a single-story 1,800–2,200 sq ft home with roughly 180–220 linear feet of 5" seamless aluminum, most jobs land between $2,400 and $4,800 before tax — depending on fascia condition, downspout count, and access. Upgrading to 6" adds roughly $300–$600. Two-story homes and complex rooflines run higher. Copper is a different category entirely — typically 2.5–4x the aluminum price per foot.
